About Us
Meet Craig & Mike
Craig Mosmen (left) and Michael Cassano (right) were college friends at the University of Delaware (2000 Alumni). They spent their college years working in the restaurant industry, watching and learning the ways of running a small business. They found themselves fascinated and excited at the prospect of one day owning their own restaurant.
The original Couch Tomato Cafe’ was born in September of 2003 in Manayunk, PA, two years after their college graduation. Thanks to the tremendous support of their customer base, The Couch Tomato was fortunate enough to expand their Manayunk concept by adding The Tomato Bistro (2011) above the cafe’ in Manayunk, offering additional seating, a bar, an expanded menu and table-side service. Then again in 2015 the Couch Tomato Cafe’ opened the doors to their West Chester branch. In 2022 their third branch of The Couch Tomato Cafe' opened in the historic Conshohocken train station. Craig and Mike plan to continue expanding their concept in the coming years.
